I began offering architecture classes when my daughter was in third grade…

That one hour session turned into a full semester of town planning. I enjoyed it, the teacher was thrilled that I was bringing new material into the classroom while reinforcing concepts that she had been teaching and the students had a blast.

After that, while still working full-time as an architect, I volunteered to provide after-school architecture classes at my daughter’s school. That turned into offering classes on Saturday’s at my office. Over time, because I enjoy teaching while keeping up with what’s going on in the world of design and architecture, my classes have gained international attention and I teach young students in countries around the world.

My past and present students live in Great Britain, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Barbados, Canada, Columbia, Pakistan, Bangkok, Puerto Rico, Malaysia, Timor, El Salvador, Germany, Spain, the Philippines, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Oman, Israel and the United States.

Because I can’t stop writing on the topic, I have created a bi-weekly newsletter on all things architecture and design, letting readers know what’s going on in the world, people and places, buildings and spaces, thoughts and ideas on a subject I have a passion for.

The content of my newsletters will include new projects completed around the world, what is on the boards in architects’ offices in different countries, what architectural students are doing and, as always, a vocabulary word that architects use.
